TBI Health understand that living with Osteoarthritis can prevent you from doing the things you love. We are running a rehabilitation service called Hip and Knee Mobility Action Programme for people that are developing hip or knee osteoarthritis (OA).
Our programme will give you the tools to help you manage your condition. And you’ll be educated on how you can stay active and get on with doing the activities you love.
What does the Hip and Knee Mobility Action Programme consist of?
The Hip and Knee Mobility Action Programme (MAP) is a TBI Health initiative currently available to people living in Lower Hutt and Palmerston North who are developing hip or knee Osteoarthritis.
Patients receive an initial assessment with one of our Physiotherapists and work through a series of educational modules and exercise sessions each week to help you understand your condition.
The programme is provided by a team of health professionals including:
- Occupational Therapists
- Exercise Physiologists
- Arthritis New Zealand Educators
How long does the programme take to complete?
The programme runs over a six week period and includes physio assessments and weekly education sessions. On completion, you will be helped to integrate into support services that are currently available within the community. This includes the Green Prescription and Arthritis New Zealand support.
Who can access the programme and how much does it cost?
This programme is available for patients living in the Hutt Valley or Palmerston North regions and costs $355..
How can I get onto this programme?
