Hospital Physiotherapy

Our hospital-based physiotherapists provide rehabilitation for individuals who undergo surgery in private hospitals and are experienced in caring for people following orthopaedic, cardiothoracic, gastro-intestinal/bariatric, vascular and general surgical procedures.

Hospital (in-patient) physiotherapy benefits patients by:

  • helping reduce the risk of post-surgical complications;
  • helping to maximise the benefits of the surgery;
  • assisting patients to get up and walk;
  • Providing education, aids and equipment that allow a safe return to previous activities.

Our physiotherapists also offer:

Pre-operative physiotherapy visits which are extremely helpful in helping patients prepare for surgery, learn their exercises and reduce unnecessary anxiety about the operation.

The hospital physiotherapists liaise closely with TBI Health clinic  and community therapists (as well as other health professionals) to ensure appropriate ongoing treatment is provided. find out more
