- Meiny graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelors of Occupational Therapy. Her work experience include hospital based rehabilitation for stroke and spinal injuries, pediatrics outpatient clinics and vocational rehabilitation and claims management for a private insurer in South Africa. These included management of mental health claims. Since coming to New Zealand in 2007 she has gained specialist experience in the assessment and treatment of traumatic brain injuries including serious injury assessments. In 2010 she completed a postgraduate Certificate of Proficiency in Neurological Rehabilitation through the Rehabilitation Teaching and Research Unit (RTRU) of University of Otago, Wellington.
